Blind Adaptive Algorithms for Decision Feedback DS-CDMA Receivers in Multipath Channels

چکیده
n this work we examine blind adaptive and iterative decision feedback (DF) receivers for direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems in frequency selective channels. Code-constrained minimum variance (CMV) and constant modulus (CCM) design criteria for DF receivers based on constrained optimization techniques are investigated for scenarios subject to multipath. Computationally efficient blind adaptive stochastic gradient (SG) and recursive least squares (RLS) algorithms are developed for estimating the parameters of DF detectors along with successive, parallel and iterative DF structures. A novel successive parallel arbitrated DF scheme is presented and combined with iterative techniques for use with cascaded DF stages in order to mitigate the deleterious effects of error propagation. Simulation results for an uplink scenario assess the algorithms, the blind adaptive DF detectors against linear receivers and evaluate the effects of error propagation of the new cancellations techniques against previously reported approaches.n this work we examine blind adaptive and iterative decision feedback (DF) receivers for direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems in frequency selective channels. Blind adaptive decision feedback CDMA receivers for dispersive channels - Electronics Letters
Introduction: Blind adaptive linear receivers for DS-CDMA have been proposed in recent years to supress multiple acess interference (MAI) [1–4]. Blind solutions for flat channels based on the minimum variance (MV) and the constant modulus (CM) criterion have been reported in [1] and [2]. Recently, constrained minimum variance (CMV) and constrained constant modulus (CCM) adaptive linear receiver...
متن کاملBit Error Performance for Asynchronous Ds Cdma Systems Over Multipath Rayleigh Fading Channels (RESEARCH NOTE)
In recent years, there has been considerable interest in the use of CDMA in mobile communications. Bit error rate is one of the most important parameters in the evaluation of CDMA systems. In this paper, we develop a technique to find an accurate approximation to the probability of bit error for asynchronous direct–sequence code division multiple–access (DS/CDMA) systems by modeling the multipl...
متن کاملLMMSE Receivers for DS-CDMA Systems in Frequency-Selective Fading Channels
| The linear minimum mean squared error (LMMSE) criterion can be used to obtain near-far resistant single-user receivers in direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (DS-CDMA) systems. The standard version (postcombining) of the LMMSE receiver minimizes the mean squared error (MSE) between the lter output and the actual transmitted data sequence. Since the detector depends on the channel co...
متن کاملJoint Closed-Loop Power Control and Base Station Assignment for DS-CDMA Receiver in Multipath Fading Channel with Adaptive Beamforming Method
In this paper, we propose smart step closed-loop power control (SSPC) algorithm and base station assignment based on minimizing the transmitter power (BSAMTP) technique in a direct sequence-code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) receiver in the presence of frequency-selective Rayleigh fading. This receiver consists of three stages. In the first stage, with conjugate gradient (CG) adaptive ...
متن کاملAn improved blind adaptive MMSE receiver for fast fading DS-CDMA channels
Blind adaptive minimum mean-squared errors (MMSE) receivers for multiuser direct-sequence code-division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems that assume knowledge of the steering vector, i.e., the cross-correlation between the desired output and the input signal, are known for their robustness against channel fading as they do not attempt to explicitly track the channel of the user of interest. Ho...
